Application Blank

Meaning:

 

It is a prescribed form of the company which helps to obtain information about candidate in respect of social, biographic, academic, work experience, references, etc.
The application blank helps to –
It provides input for the interview.
It provides basis to reject candidates if they do not meet eligibility criteria, such as experience, qualifications, etc.

Generally an application blank contains the following information’s:
(A) Identifying information - Name, address, telephone number, etc.
(B) Personal Information - age, sex, marital status, etc.
(C) Physical Characteristics
(D) Family background
(E) Education - academic, technical & professional
(F) Experience - job held, employers, salary drawn, etc.
(G) References
(H) Miscellaneous - extracurricular activities, hobbies, sports, etc.
